How much does an emergency call-out cost?
Every job is different, so we give you a quote for the work rather than a fixed price. Out-of-hours call-outs (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) cost more than standard daytime work. We’ll talk it through with you before we start.
What should I do while I wait for you?
Keep everyone, including children and pets, well away from the tree and anything it’s resting on. Don’t try to cut it or move it yourself. If it’s touching or near power lines, stay well back and call 105 (the free power cut and electricity emergency number). If it’s blocking a road and causing immediate danger, call 999.
Can you help with my insurance claim?
Yes. We can record and photograph the damage and provide the paperwork and logs your insurer needs for the claim.
Do you make storm-damaged trees safe, or only remove them?
Both. Where a tree can be saved, we remove broken and hanging limbs and make it safe. If it can’t be saved, we take it down safely, in sections where space is tight.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. Clearing up and waste removal are included as standard. We’re a registered waste carrier, so everything is disposed of properly and the site is left safe and tidy.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes. We carry £5m public liability insurance, our team is NPTC and City & Guilds qualified, and we work to BS 3998.
Do you need permission to remove a protected tree in an emergency?
Trees covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or in a conservation area normally need council consent, but there are exceptions for work needed to make a dangerous tree safe. We’ll advise you and only do what’s needed to remove the danger, and help you let the council know.
